We split this task up between the three of us.

Audience Research Methodology (this is what Laura has done)

1. How many people did we answer? Why?

2. How did we find our target audience?


  • School?
  • Neighbourhood?
  • Friends?
3. How did we research our target audience?

4. What were the strangths?

5. What were the weaknesses?

6. How did we approach?




Closed question :'A closed question can be answered with either a single word or a short phrase'.

OR

'A closed question can be answered with either 'yes' or 'no'. '

Using closed questions

Closed questions have the following characteristics:
  • They give you facts.
  • They are easy to answer.
  • They are quick to answer.
  • They keep control of the conversation with the questioner.

Open questions :

'An open question is likely to receive a long answer.'

Using open questions

Open questions have the following characteristics:
  • They ask the respondent to think and reflect.
  • They will give you opinions and feelings.
  • They hand control of the conversation to the respondent.
Our target audeince will be the 15 - 20 + range because these are the people who listen to music the most.
