Matt's presentation:

 

Wrong direction - Passenger

 



Camera - pan - fish tank from beginning, track shot of changing scene, long shot to see the the surroundings.
Editing - animations of fishes - bigger than reality, straight cuts, slow cuts - lack of urgency, fade to black.
Mise-en-scene - old furnishing - maybe a link to when he was young, paddling pool with fish, use of trumpet.
Lyrical links - 'when i was a kid' - old furniture.
Sound - the song, acoustic.
Narrative - A man getting lost. old pictures to refer to past things.
Alot of animation - black and white to show how simple it is. People in relationships.

Man overboard - Where i left you



It is an illustration video. Filmed in unconventional places. Camera is filming a camera filming them. Was done while on tour in home tow of New jersey. Unconventional clothing. Another band - the story so far, comes into the video. On the beat editing.


Kieran and Dan's presentation:

Disclosure - Latch Ft Sam Smith



Strong stuductvie feel by bold shots. House genre - electronic dance. Conventional video of a none band - people playing or singing. Mid shot - more distant and see surrounding they are in. Characters in the middle of the shots to be the centre of attention. When the rain pours down in the elevator it is like there spotanious kiss has set it off. Graphical face on peoples faces which is there album cover to link them together to create a trade mark. lots of close ups of love and lust of eyes, hands, lips etc. They relate to the lyrics as they are about love and lust. Very strong connection between the three couples to enhance the lyrics and the emotional connection which it gives off. it is like they are interlinked as everything happens to each of them at the same time. It all builds to when they kiss from shots to music and lyrics. the im latching on lyrics links to the shot of holding hands. same shots of the graphic face on the characters as its like they have become the music. Different couples - history and relationships.
